A fire ravaged tree remains standing on a ridge on Bear Butte in South Dakota, where the Sioux and Cheyenne tribes received their creation myth. The small mountain on the edge of the Black Hills  is still a religious site of great importance, despite being only a few miles from the biker bars and rallies of Sturgis.
